Isn't it annoying to lose your bookmark when you open up a book? To solve this problem, we show you how you can make your own magnetic bookmark with self-adhesive magnetic tape.
The colourful bookmarks are not only a great arts and crafts project for a rainy day but also the perfect gift for Mothers Day or Fathers Day, Easter, Christmas, or a birthday.

Step 1

Cut the desired shape for the magnetic bookmark and decorations out of paper or fabric. Cut two pieces of magnetic tape.
TIP: There are many templates for paper bookmarks on the Internet. Magnetic fabric bookmark? It is advisable to topstitch the edges.
Step 2

Arrange the magnetic tape pieces so they attract each other; the removable protective foil is on the outside.
Remove the foil and glue the magnetic tape on the desired place on the bookmark.
Step 3

Now you just have to place the homemade bookmark magnets in your favourite book. Depending on their size and shape, you can use them to mark chapters, pages, or even individual lines. For the latter, arrow-shaped bookmarks work best.
