Holding strength in relation to the air gap between magnet and steel plate.
Chris sent me this photo.
He included the note: "Two Q-20-20-10 magnets were just barely enough - they attach through two sheets of paper to the steel beam. The problem is that the bicycle frame is round and, thus, does not provide a good magnetic contact point."
Detailed views in the following photos...
Detailed view of bicycle hanging from a steel beam. The contact area between the bike frame and the magnet is small - but nevertheless it holds.
Thank you for the photo!
If you also have interesting photos - please send them to us - of course we'll send you a couple of free magnets :-)
If you are not careful when removing these magnets, a bit of skin might be pinched... "He howled like a little dog"... clear enough?
Dear friends - you should NOT try this at home. NEVER, NIE, JAMAIS. Not a good idea!
There are people who believe that the magic colours will be removed from their monitor with the use of the De-Gauss button on the monitor. Wrong!
A visit from the nice man from the electronics specialty shop with a demagnetizer costs more than 100 Euro... right Hans-Peter? :-)
Here is a little film on the topic (worth seeing!):
resolution 80 x 60, 252KB large or
resolution 320 x 240, 670KB large.
The De-Gauss button will not be able to help you anymore. Thus: keep magnets away from monitors and televisions! Even small magnets. And explain this to your children BEFORE the lady from the evening news gains an unhealthy green colour to her face.
Both of these photos were taken by Chris (a man with too much time on his hands...)
I think everyone should be able to hang-up his trousers as he likes...
... no matter how daft it is...
... or his drinking glasses...
... or his CD-ROMs...
By the way, you should not do this with diskettes...
Practical
But the plate must be thick enough... this arrangement would slide off of a normal "white board".
Thomas L. from Hamburg has visually proven with his exercise equipment that the Skin Pincher magnet can really hold 10 kg!
Our customer E.M. writes: "It is so scary I had to send it to you anonymously...."
Well, this is just one example of things better not to be stowed away "safely" with a magnet!!!
Customer applications that use this article:
Doorstop
The times of slamming doors during draughts are definitely over!
Exercise Bike Generator
Producing electricity with your own muscular strength - very informative!

Only someone with very strong hands can separate two of these magnets from each other. Very impressive.
This one has been lovingly called "The Skin Pincher" by our customers. :-)
Not for children or magnet weaklings!
